2 Timothy 1:6 - Grace Through Action – The Imposition Of Hands
In 2 Timothy 1:6 St. Paul tells Timothy that the gift of God (τὸ χάρισμα τοῦ Θεοῦ) is in him through the imposition of my hands (διὰ τῆς ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν μου). This refers to ordination. Since Scripture clearly says that a gift of the Spirit is transmitted through such an action, why is it hard for many non-Catholics to accept that the grace of God is bestowed through other actions such as baptism?
2 Timothy 1:6: “For this reason I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you through the imposition of my hands.”
